The story writer of GOOPI GAWAIYA BAGHA BAJAIYA is Upendra kishore Roychaudhary and not Satyajit Ray for everyone's clarification. He was the grandfather of Satyajit Ray, immensely talented, what I don't like about this movie is that they should have used the same scores as that of Satyajit Ray but unfortunately they didn"t. If you have seen the original movie then you would have known the impact of the original scores, outstanding lyrics and beautiful breathtaking melody. The makers should have stuck to it. The original bengali movie was written & directed by The Great Satyajit Ray- Goopi Gayen Bagha bayeen& it was released in 1969. The original story was actually penned by his father & used to appear in daily newspaper as comic for kids. Surprisingly no credits mentioned about the original writers and makers, atleast not in written media. One of the worst adaptations of such a cult classic movie. The film is projected in the form of animation, the cinematography of the movie is certainly below average, the music of the movie also lacks authenticity and melody. The movie tries to impart the lessons of how wars can be eluded, through reasoning and peaceful dialogues., but the screenplay and storytelling is not at all intresting and engaging, the dialogues are also not impactful and relatable. Although the animation of the movie is the only probable saving factor to a certain extent. All in all a waist of a good plot.
