Ghajini: Amir Shines Again

Amir Khan’s movies are always awaited with much expectation and eagerness. This was even further as Amir smartly promoted the movie by releasing videos of his 8-pack secret and all. The story is a bit different. Sanjay Singhania (Amir), a business tycoon, gets attracted to Kalpana (Asin), an aspiring model, because of her simplicity and eagerness to help others in her own way. One day Kalpana helps some girls to get out of an abusing racket who used to sell the girls for flesh market as well as for taking out their body parts. As a result, Kalpana gets killed by the villain named Ghajini. Sanjay witnesses his fiance’s death and also gets severe injuries while trying to protect her. Due to his head injuries he acquires short term memory loss syndrom. and to kill Ghajini becomes the only goal in his life. The film revolves around how Sanjay finds and kills Ghajini. Like any other revenge story but here the catchline is Sanjay has to fight against his physical problem - the short time memory loss syndrom all the time. and this is where the story gets interesting.

Analysis: There is a story and the viewers move back and forth in the past and present with it. it has been mixed quite well. The best part is of course the acting. Amir is superb with his expressions as a memory loss victim and looking fabulous with his 8-packs. and he would not let you down with the histrionics as well. Asin is charming and knows her business. and I liked the villain as well. (I am really sorry that I cant recollect his name). Jiah Khan didnt have much to do and she justified that. Cinematography is great and you are bound to love the song "Hai gujarish".

However, except this song, others are not at all impressive. But I liked the background music. Overall, its a "paisa wasool" movie. you have some comedy situations, loads of fighting. Well, may be less romance but thats ok.
