Oh yes, first of all, please do NOT compare this with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi! Let Khans have cold war between them, we, being wise people (lol), should not compare these two all different movies. It is like you just cannot compare the Titanic with Jurassic Park!!! Hope you guys understand!
Okay, let me begin with the insight story!!!
Sanjay Singhania is a business tycoon who is always in his profession to skyrocket his business and have never ever felt anything other than that! His business life then observes dedication, kindness and lots of other humankind in a girl who is so lovable. He falls in love with this girl as a normal person and not as a business tycoon.
The girl is killed due to her helping other nature and this is the event, the whole movie revolves around.
Aamir is hit with an iron rod so badly that his brain is damaged and he then undergoes the condition called as short term memory or active memory wherein he forgets everything within some minutes and hence finds life difficult to live. He has to write everything what he wants to do and has to snap everyone as to label them (like his manager, his lawyer, his doctor etc). His life has only one goal - to kill the killer of his lover (kalpana).
Plot: The plot is indeed a very well thought! The storyline is catchy enough. However, there could be many loopholes if one forcibly wants fo find as the subject is medical and many people may think it impractical.
Acting: Aamir, AS EXPECTED, is very good. You may find Asin as a fusion of Neha Dhupia and Aarti Chhabariya!!! She is beautiful and acting is flawless too! The Villain (Pradeep Rawat; Sultan of Sarfarosh and Deva of Lagaan) rocks in his extremely wicked role and may beg for best actor in villainous role. Jiya is okay; as per her role, nothing much to expect!
Songs: Dissapointment! Except Guzarish, you may not find any song melodious however, if you are die hard fan of ARR, you cannot withstand this comment!!!
Cinematography: Praiseworthy.
Direction: Very Well Done! Every care has been taken to show how a person lives with his short term memory.
Action: Superb! The actions really makes you to LEARN that Sanjay has developed steel body just to fight his battle. He is shown extremely robust and macho there. The action is enhanced with perfectly symmetrically developed Aamirs body which he MUST have bent on backwards to build.
Scenes NOT TO MISS:
Aamirs ROUTINE (the one after being hit and not Sanjay Singhanias), especially while putting on the shoes!!!
Putting off his tee-shirt in front of mirror and turning wild
The way Kalpana is hit with iron rod (may shake you up, if you are emotional)
All action scenes
Sudden change in behavior of Aamir (in a couple of scenes).
All in all, it is a NOT TO MISS movie.
