With high expectations I entered the theatre. Ghajini turned out to be a letdown. ARM wanted to created an edge of the seat thriller but that became its weakness. He packed so many things that it becomes really irritating after some point of time. I felt that it would have been a better movie as a love story.
Surya cannot remember anything beyond 15 minutes and he wants to take revenge of people who killed Asin. A good plot but executed poorly.
The way Asin and Surya fall in love is done properly. It is shown in 2 parts. The 3rd part is where asin dies. Surya wants to take revenge.
Do you see any scope for one more heroine? but director does and this is his first mistake. does the villain has to be a twin so as to confuse surya? ARM believes so and this is his second mistake. In Ramana there are only 2 songs. But here you have a flurry of songs and the songs are bad. This is his 3rd mistake.
Instead of 2nd heroine and twins if the director had concentrated simply on how he tracks the villain and kills him and kept only 2-3 songs in flashback it would have been a far better movie.
Go and watch the movie only for flashback...
