Bollywood Vigilante Action At Its Best

There are rarely little movies that you will go fanatical in relation to at what time you see this movie first time, Ghayal is one such movie I feel powerfully about. The most important motive was that the movie made me feel influential & appreciate that I can protect myself or should be able to guard myself. It was an inspiring movie which made the common man feels important. This movie also speaks to general man in the common sense they are often amazed by their relations & their actions at the time of crisis.

The movie also displays the superior policemen that need to face restrictions due to the system. Ghayal (The Wounded) centers round a young man Ajay Mehra (Sunny Deol) who shows great promise as a budding boxer. Expectant by his affectionate elder brother Ashok (Raj Babbar) a successful businessman and his warm and loving wife Indu (Moushami Chatterji), Ajay is all set to be one of the country’s leading champions. A attractive journalist Varsha (Meenakshi Seshadri) is Ajay’s lady love. The four seem to be leading a happy life looking forward to a bright future for all with Ashok rising in his management career and Ajay developing into a National Boxer.

Although on training camp session, Ajay learns of his brother’s odd departure. Worried and dreadfully wounded, he returns to Bombay and begins his ruthless search for his missing brother. Here he discovers numerous men in elevated positions which are concerned. In his attempts to expose what he knows, Ajay gets trapped into the whirlpool of their plotting. Suddenly he finds himself framed for his brother’s death. Unable, powerless and confused, Ajay finally realizes the evil trap that has ruined his brother and now threatens to destroy him. The sage of a prisoner who pursues his abandoned trail of attaining righteousness is the must of Ghayal.

Ghayal is one of the good action films of the 90’s but it is beyond good. Ghayal is one of the best action films ever. Raj Kumar Santoshi has made a hard hitting film. What is especially notable is Sunny Deol’s Filmfare and National Award winning performance. This movie shows one of the best performances Sunny Deol has ever given. He plays a young boxer who is caught in a web of betrayal, deceit, drugs, and street fighting. He is accused of killing his brother and then vows revenge on the people responsible for his brother’s death. Top of Form Bottom of Form If you have not seen this movie and are ready to take my words, see it.

One of the good Hindi action movies. I just wish that Amrish Puri was given more footage in the movie and a stronger role of-course Sunny Deol is so perfect for such hair-raising roles. My own blood starts boiling when I see his action movies Sunny jee is the best ! Any doubt buddies ? The film is well executed and keeps you on the edge of your seat. For a Indian film it is stylishly shot and for an action film it has a very good story which is quite emotional at times such as in the court room scenes. The songs are hummable and fit in well in the context of the film.

The film has you rooting for Sunny Doel in his quest for revenge with the whole system against him. Menakshi is also very good as his supportive girlfriend. While Raj Babbar and Moushami provide adequate support as Sunny’s family. This film is well-directed, has a good story and performances and is well-worth watching. It may be noted Santoshi went on to make other good films such as Damani and Ghatak with the same principle star-cast however this remains his best film to date.
