Ghayal touches a nerve but fails towards the end

What made me super excited to watch this one was the fact that I anticipated it to be a full on Sunny Deol entertainer. And I must say it builds up some tension and interest in the first half but fails miserably post interval.

Sunny Deol plays his seasoned angry self well but the melodrama part could have been better enacted! Soha is mediocre in her minuscule role .Narendra Jha is brilliant in his role . Tisca Chopra looks good and unfortunately that’s all I noticed about her in the movie . All the kids play their part well .

The plot is a conventional one. It starts from where the first part ends. Raj Bansal( Jha) is a powerful man in Mumbai and has a spoilt, menacing son.

Ajay Mehra( Sunny) is now running his own network of some secret investigators who solve the cases which remain unsolved by the Forces in the city. Then the turn of events which take place and how Mehra and Bansal come face to face with each other is what the story is all about .Nothing new!

The first half has a great pace and keeps you rooted however the second half is more of a cliched and melodramatic affair and you just want it to end . One action scene is literally stretched for so long that u seriously want anyone of them to die and you just won’t care .

Some might enjoy the drama and confusion others won’t . So take your decision and decide on watching this one . I am settling on 3 stars only because of Sunny Deol’s sincere acting and quite an enticing first half!
