It was my niece’s first birthday , she lives in Goa and since it is a very special day for us I wanted to send her a gift and a cake and sitting in Canada it was not easy for me but since I am related with E- commerce so I decided to search if any online service provider is there who can deliver gifts in Goa and found that there is only one service provider https://gifts-to-india.com who claim to do deliveries in Goa but before doing any transaction I prefer to cal them to check if actually they can deliver in Goa or not , the person who took the call confirmed that they are based in Kolkata their address is P-76 lake road Kolkata and they can make the deliveries to Goa and for cakes they need only 24 hrs and for any gift displayed on their website they need 2-3 days to deliver as it will be dispatched from their warehouse in Kolkata , keeping in mind I ordered online on 8 days advance on July 4th order no HGTI-03072012152510 delivery date 11th July so that they will have plenty of time to deliver , I made the payment online and immediately I got a confirmatory email .
After placing the order I tried to call to confirm if everything is in order or not but when I tried I realized that though they claim 24 x 7 customer support service but no one picks up your call in India late hours which is day time for us in Canada I keep on hearing the voice message that all of their agents are busy , then I tried to call them during their day time and after two days I was able to get through them and this time I realized that this is a single person(Alokesh) who run this business and he is the only one who takes the call but he confirmed me that everything is in ok and my order will be delivered on the delivery date .In the mean time I also got another email from them confirming me that they received my order and as per my desired delivery date it will be delivered.
First I thought I keep this a surprise for my sister but then I realized that I should tell them so that they will also expect the delivery but when I spoke to my brother in law on the date of delivery at 6 :00 PM evening he confirmed me that they didn’t received anything and not even a call from them, now I called that guy again and asked for the delivery first he said system is not working as server is down so he asked me to call after ½ hour , I called again after ½ hour and after wait of 20 minutes this guy came on line and said the delivery will be be done anytime till 9:00 PM , I asked him that’s fine but what if they will not be there at home then he said somebody will call them 1 hour prior and if they are at any different location he will deliver at that location , then I asked him why 1 hour prior only ?
Nobody called them and advised them about the possible delivery at least call them and inform them , first he was hesitant to call but on my insistence he was ready to call them and took my number also and told me that he is going to call and inform me about the delivery and then I asked him repeatedly did he check about the status of the delivery from his vendor in Goa but he keep on saying me that he cannot give that information as it is internal and confidential information and keep telling me that delivery will be done by 9:00 PM as per the terms on the website , I asked him if he can check with his vendor about the delivery status but he was not ready to do that and then he hang up the phone and after that I keep on trying to call them but no one picked up my call.
I called and checked with my brother in law at 9:00 PM and he confirmed me that neither he got a call from them nor he got the delivery and no one even called me to inform about the status as he told me that he is going to call me and took my number.
Fiends, if you use online services to send gifts to your dear ones and specially if you are not staying in India or any of your relative is living abroad please DO NOT USE these GIFT TO INDIA site and inform and share it with everyone that these guys are cheats , it’s not a matter of money because I know I will take care of it through my credit card company but it’s about your feelings and emotions, it is a big disappointment for me that I cannot send a small gift to my niece on her 1st birthday. They just ruined it, this is the worst ever experience I ever had.
I wish if government can make some law and access of payment gateways can be withdrawn from these types of cheat companies and block their internet access .
