Gillette the brand name suggests a brand with great features and effieciency. I used to fancy shaving with a gillette blade during my teenage days. I had to rely on the old version of blades not the twin one but our old topaz and other stuff. But when I got a chance I shifted to twin blade and I started using gillette blades it was not too much costly at that time. The class of blades were so good that it used to last for months. I used to compare it with other Indian blades like supermax and other stuff but gillette used to be the tough one. As time went by I kept on using the same thing. Gillette was the one to bring use and throw concept blades Gillette presto. I was using the slide through one. I got attracted by the ad they used to show and I started using the stuff. It was really a good item and it used to last too long. But now I am sad to say that they have played with customers trust I now also use the same stuff but the quality of the stuff has gone down. The rate of Presto was very low when they introduced it but since the last 2 years they have increased the price but they have not maintained the quality dont know why may be they want people to shift to their other brands like Sensor Excel or Mach 3. I have tried Sensor excel but its also not upto the mark the cost of 1 blade is around 35 Rs and you cannot have more than 4 to 5 shaves with that blade so what is the use in buying a blade by paying so much of money and not gettting the value for money. I dont know about mach3 but I dont think that I will be spending money to use it. I would recommend them to keep the price of presto affordable and keep a good quality. Their shaving foam and gel are good and I have used it. No doubt that they are the leaders in this segment but they should not loose it with this cheap tricks. People buy Gillette products because they have a good name and people trust them. They should also try to maintain that trust if they have to remain as leaders. Hoping to get good quality stuff at affordable price from them in future.
