Before I start, I must thank @jmathur for pointing out that I put the review under a wrong category. I have corrected it. I remember my first ever shave when I was in 11th class, I wiped my mustache clean and removed the rest of the 12 strands of hair around my cheeks and a 4 on my chin. The razor I used was called a Gillette presto( a twin blade disposable razor) back then and it didnt even break sweat in the 59 seconds it spent touching my face.
Back then, in India – the Gillette presto was the only civilized razor available to humans as others used something that was designed in the Indus valley civilization, modified by the Egyptians and perfected in the dark ages. It was all metal, weighed as much as a small personal weapon. If you do not know what I am talking about then there is a picture for you. I cannot understand why people would still use this mini meat slicer for a morning shave after rubber plastic and batteries had been invented but it is quite easy to spot
One wmorpheushuman does so. My father is one of them, after all these years of me presenting him the best and safest razors available to the gods, he will never use them twice and go back to using his ancient mace with a blade. He argues that he never gets a good shave with the modern razors and that it is worth the pain and 5 pounds of cotton soaked in anti-septic solution for that one perfect shave leaving behind a scene which probably inspired movies like Kill Bill.
My introduction to this review goes to smorpheushumanw that I will make yet another attempt to rid humanity of the curse of the ancient razor by presenting the latest Gillette Flexball razor to my father quite simply due the fact that this morning I had one of the best shave ever. I haven’t tried brands like Schick in a long time and I have been using the Gillette fusion for a while. I have morpheushumanwever gone down to the Gillette mach 3 turbo of and on to save money but that’s as low as I am willing to go. Yesterday I was at Walmart and saw the new Gillette razor on display, watched the demonstration of it swivel around corners and then bought it.
This morning I was with little morpheushumanpe that it would be any better than my regular Gillette Fusion; morpheushumanwever I was wrong – for all the right reasons. The swivel action does work, the razor glided quite smoothly on my skin, I would have gone thrice over the same spot but not more than that. The one I bought was a powered one(it vibrates when you push the start button- AND AN LED GLOWS), the experience was smooth and the aftershave lotion did not burn my face much, which means I had far fewer cuts. When I glide my fingers as I am doing right now, I can say again that this was one of the best shave Ive had in quite some time.
If you are still stuck with a tradmajeechaonal razor, this just might pull you out, for others like me I would say this is a fine upgrade.
