Gilma has a store near Ameerpet. I bought a Modular Kitchen and Stove from there, to my misfortune. They took a full upfront payment of Rs. 61000 from me, otherwise they said they cannot start the work. They told me that the work would be completed in 2 days and a max of 3 days. 2-3 different people came and took measurements, I dont know why.
Anyways the work started. What was to be completed in 3 days at the max took 1.5 months to complete. They would never come home on the day promised, forget the time. They come unannounced and then sit in the kitchen exploring what work they need to do. Then they explore what tools they have to do the work. Except for 1 day, they didnt have the tools on any other day. So they just sit in the kitchen for 3-4 hrs idling, waiting for the tools to arrive from Ameerpet to Gachibowli, where I stay. If they dont get it after 4 hrs, they leave unannounced. The worst was waiting for screws of the handles to come because they brought the screws of wrong size. Gilma people are 100% unprofessional except while taking payment, and this attitude is the same, right from the top management to the workforce.
Every day, this was the routine. No plan of work nor any idea as to what to do. They were such a pain that I even thought of complaining to the Police for cheating. Infact, I got the final stretch of work completed after threatening Gilma with Police complaint. After 15 days of visit in a span of 45 days and after many hours of me shouting over telephone at different people in Gilma, the Gilma people finished the work in a record 45 days.
These people cannot be trusted at all. Lies and lies. thats all they say. If they say’Person is on the way’ it means’He will come after 2 days’. If they say’Person will come tomorrow’ it means’Person will come after a week’. Believe me, you will face the worst post-shopping experience if you decide to buy from them. Please be prepared for a harrowing, thoroughly irritating and horrible experience if you buy anything from them, be it modular kitchen or Stoves.
I bought a Stove from them a month before I bought the modular kitchen. In 2 months time, the steel casing broke. I complained to them and they said within a week, the casing would be replaced. Its been 5 months and nothing has happened. They always say’The Body has not come from Bangalore’. I heard a month back from a friend of mine that’Their body will never come’. This is their usual statement. Highly unprofessional to the core. They are interested only in selling. There is no service after that even for a Stove.
My advise is’Please do not buy ANYTHING from GILMA, Hyderabad because they dont know how to run a business andthey are highly unprofessional and untrustworthy. Please be prepared for a very bad time ahead if you decide to still buy from them’
