Ok its a Hong-Kong based trendy clothing company. So what you may say. Well if you havent walked into one of their showrooms yet, I wont blame you, they dont really make too much noise. But a visit is well worth it.
I actually bought my first jeans and stuff from Giordano when they opened their first outlet in the Middle East. Then, I remember, they had bits of everything, jeans, shirts, t-shirts, shoes, sneakers, bags et al. And a nice range, very trendy and young without being loud. Which makes most of their clothing wearable by all ages, without looking awkward, mostly !!!
I have generally popped into an outlet once every year, when I go to the Gulf for my vacations. Somehow over the years I have got the feeling that theyre getting pricier and loosing the average-mans Calvin Klein image, (which was what they had...) The jeans were getting pricier, and the most of the cheap things started vanishing, though they still do have sneakers, and so on.
Quality wise, they are very good. None of the Thai, or Indonesian, colour vanishing or shrinking tricks here. Very good stuff, and pretty good value for money too. I had a really beaten down pair of Giordano jeans, that just got better as it got older, and we still have veteran Giordano Polo t-shirts in the family. Sturdy stuff.
As for range, its good, no flashy stuff, and now they seem to have a lot of khakhi based things. As I said the emphasis is on being cool AND comfortable, without being loud.
You get the Bang for your buck. And you may find yourself a Giordano fan, once you get used to them. But the way they have being getting pricey, soon you may actually get classier, atleast more popular brands, for the same tag.
If your looking to spend cash for the brand, dont bother, Giordano aint DKNY, but if you want cool, comfy and snappy looking, with the times, and not a rebel either, well walk in ........
