You should not read this book if you have not read its part 1. But then I don’t think anyone would start reading it without finishing ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’. The message on the cover will not let you!
Anyway, so anyone reading this review would have read the 1st book, so here I will let you into another discovery. The 1st book has been made into a movie! Yeah, download it and watch it. You will enjoy it since you now know the story.
The actor who plays Mikael Blomkvist will come as a pleasant surprise. And Lisbeth Salander is fantastic.
Now I am not sure if they made Hollywood versions of part 2 and part 3, but there is a Swedish version of all the three books. So now after you read this, the 2nd part, you will have no choice but to watch the Swedish version – but that is not a problem(even if the language is so alien) because you have read the book; however since the actors are different from the English version, I suggest you watch the 1st part again in the Swedish version before you go to part 2 movie.
Now here you will find that the Swedish actor playing Blomkvist is a better fit that the Hollywood super start in the English version(I am not naming the actor only because I want it to come as a surprise as it did to me!). But the disappointing part is that the actor playing Salander in the English version was better!
Anyway, enjoy the book and then the movies. They are great.
