I have completed my engineering in GKM College. During my college days, myself felt the same what you people felt. But actually speaking, I feel proud that I came out from good institution. Regarding faculties some may be below average but most of them are good. I even saw few comments about placement. I am working in a recruitment field and doing MBA in part time.
As a recruiter, criteria for selecting a candidate, first he/ she should posses a first class degree without any arrears. But how many of them like that. certainly not more only a few. Not only in GKM most of the other colleges are also not providing placements. Reason is very simple. It is not there mistake, it is industries mistake. Recession has started again. There is no opening in any IT industry or some core area. Here, as a students we have to make ourselves better compared to others. Nothing is going to happen by blaming the institution.
Out of 100 only 2 or 3 clearing round 2 in interview process. So students have to equip their knowledge and skills in their respective core area and make yourself fit to meet the competition. If your worrying about placement in college, it means your not having the capability to meet the competition. Come out and try hard. Success will reach you soon. Don’t ever spoil our college name because now you also one among them. All the very best. Good day.
