I purchased a GLEN Chimney 6057 T SSB F60 falling for slick advt and was assured of prompt service and lifetime maintenance of MOTOR from so-called company showroom at D-9 Sector 12 NOIDA run by MEGHA HOME APPLIANCE . I also executed AMC for TWO years beginning 23 May 2012 till 23 May 2014 vide Company Receipt no.1342 dated 29 Feb 2012 of MEGHA HOME APPLIANCES D-9, SECTOR 12 NOIDA, now vanished from there to some new location in SECTOR 63 NOIDA.
We are a family of 5 Adults cooking only VEG food that also less oil due to ill-health. But due to a defect in design of product all oil which chimney sucks goes to its motor between casing and coils. It collects in the body and is retained there unless cleaned. Motor cannot be opened by other only company man does that. Now when oil collects motor becomes slow, consumes more electricity, efficiency decreases and with chances of catching fire. But when you make complaint to Company, they count one service and have already exhausted 10 visits. Now they dont respond saying that the 10 service already over. For them it is immaterial if the Product needs frequent visits due to design defect and that poor performance of product is not due to Customer negligence. AMC Dept lady Madam Ranjana said that why you cook with so much OIL. Also, no more service and you may go wherever you want to complaint. AMC HEAD Mr Sharma told nothing can be done unless we pay up more money or enter a fresh contract.Mr RAWAT who sold the Product said that AMC is not his department.
They are NOT WILLING to give us a copy of detailed CONTRACT which shows according to them that with 3500 Rs realised they will only have TEN visits in all, that means each visit is Rs. 350 without parts
They are right. They have already sold a Product Realized money. They already sold a AMC for TWO years in ONE go and realized money. Why should they bother now? It is not important to them that though have not attended to complaints since January 2014, the AMC is still valid upto 23 May 2014. It is immaterial to them that the Product is design defective.
I think we purchase a Chimney to suck and through out fumes outside and not as showpiece that GLEN product is.
I think with such open cheating, Company products will sooner or later lose all goodwill from customers. After all like my home each failed product showpiece is also an advt discouraging all visitors to my house in purchasing GLEN products.And mind you, many of them are prospective buyers of home products being of young age group.
