Liver Transplantation Review:
Top Reasons why one should not go to Global hospital for liver transplantation.
1) The Worst part about this hospital is cost. They suck your complete money. Their treatment is not worth for the money you spent. SingleRoom charges are 10k+ per day excluding service charges. By the end of the treatment iam sure that you wil be panicked by the bills that you recieve. They are money minded people.
2)It’s been 2yrs since my dad underwent liver transplantation in global, 40-50lak had been spent and still my father is facing some health issues. This had happened with many patients whom we have seen coming over there again & again.
3) They don’t have full time surgeons. They outsource Doctors from north India whenever they have patients who undergo surgery.
4) Patient monitoring & observation is very less and not worth for the amount being paid.
5) Waiting time for the doctors is too high.. since they have very less doctors and most of them are outsourced and entire liver op is depended only on one doctor.
6) Staff behaviour is worst especially from Counselling department. Many unprofessional members few to mention here is Ms.Padmaja.
7) Blood test: Please Don’t take blood test in global. Liver function test costs - Rs.700 outside. In global it costs RS.1800. and all other tests are too expensive.
8)They will tell you the package cost prior to the operation and end of the surgery they will send you with extra 80% bill. Same thing happened to my father and for many other patients coming over there.
Positives:
1) The only reason why people are rushing to the global is because of the well reputed doctor in India Dr. Joy Varghese. His experience and his skills in identifying the cause of liver issues & His approach towards the patients can’t be matched with anyother liver doctors in india. He is such a powerful Doctor. He is a boon for Global hospital. There is no global without Dr.Joy.
For liver diseases consultation. I would strongly recommend Dr. Joy Varghese.
2) Infrastructure: They have created beautiful infrastructure with the peoples money. You can clearly notice if you check in to the hospital.
3) Coordinators are good and helpful.
Finally as per my personal experience. I don’t recommend global for liver transplantation as I could see many health issues for my father and other patients even after surgery and lot of money spent and still it’s going on.
Global Hospital focuses only on billing the patients rather than treating the patients.
Except for Dr.Joy & Dr. Vivek Vij. Global is the worst and money minded hospital in Chennai.
Global hospital is not for a low & middle class people & and not even for high class people because even though you spend money you will not be treated completely.
