After hearing a lot about this place I was curious to know more about it & so I visited this place 1 month back in January. Global vipassana pagoda is a dome shaped meditation Hall & is claimed as worlds biggest monument without pillars.
It is a relic on Gautam Buddhas life.
It is situated near gorai village next to Essel world & best peaceful monument in Mumbai. One can get there by many alternatives taxi, auto, gorai jetty. I took MBMT bus from bhayander West. the bus services start from morning 6.15am & buses for pagoda are available after every 1 hr. Ticket cost is rs 21/-
It takes around around 40 to 45 min by bus. The place is worth watching & the best part is it is away from the hustle & bustle of city.
No entry fee is payable. The place is safe & they also have their own building for accommodation if one wants to stay for few days & enjoy the serenity
Food COURT is available inside which is clean & hygienic with reasonable rates
The structure is very beautiful with golden carvings & designs.they also have a bit photo gallery which states the whole life of Buddha
You can also sit for the free meditation sessions they have for all in a small different dome. Which is also very calm & relaxing
If you stay in Mumbai this is the must place you should visit. Its beautiful & worth watching!
Thank you.
