A One time affair!

Recently when I visited India, I happened to visit this new store ’Globus’ right on Hill road (Bandra West). The location seemed very good as it was right in the midst of a very crowded & popular shopping area - The Elco market. I thought too, this would be a better version of Shoppers stop, ’coz the outside of the store seemed really grand and impressive.

I visited the store with my sister on the 1st opening week. We directly headed off to the Indian wear section ’coz we didn’t find anything good in the western wear area. I was actually dissappointed with the selection and quality of clothes in the Western wear. My sister wasn’t even able to find a decent top for a reasonable price. Can you believe it? And this was the opening week of the store!!

We were relieved to breeze through the ethnic wear section. The clothes (Salwaar-Kameez) were impressive & colorful. The readymade clothes were in comfortable cottons and in bright colors and cute patterns and designs. Also you could easily pick the salwaar and dupatta of your choice and create a mix n match combination.

The Men’s section was a thorough disappointment too.

Also, the quality of the clothes is not up to the mark. After one wash, there are chances your clothes might fade.

However, if your selection is good, you might be lucky to get a good pair of Indian clothes for a decent price. I managed to get a few good clothes for myself though. Luckily the clothes I purchased are still alive and good. But that one visit did it for me. I wouldn’t want to go back again as the designs & patterns of globus are fixed and still haven’t changed.

The staff was reasonably good. Service was excellent too.

On the whole, Globus is JUST a one time stop!
