Have you had Kazaa, Imesh and all such softwares. Then you must know what spy ware is. Basically it is a piece of program on your computer that tells the site what you are surfing and this helps them in targeting you for unsolicited email or spam. Some go as far as targeting the address book of the host and sending all entries spam. Check out some of the reviews on this site on these above two programs. They are much more detailed.
Now I found this software on Download.com. It is excellent. There is nothing innovative or brilliant about it. It is a basic P2P file sharing program with songs, softwares, images, video etc all. It has a good enough interface. But most importantly NO SPYWARE and NO ADVERTISING while you are using it. It is completely free, you just have to register and stuff. I can say no advertising because I saw physically that there was no advertising. As for Spyware my ultimate guide is Ad-Aware 5.5. I have used it a couple of times to scan the system and it has not noticed any spyware. And if Ad-aware can’t locate it you can pretty much say that there’s no spyware.
One thing it can’t beat AudioGalaxy Satellite for speed. As a matter of fact nothing can. But it is faster than Kazaa and Imesh at least on my machine and simple dialup. But it is the next best thing NO SPYWARE and ADVERTISING. For all you privacy freaks this is the thing.
Also the searches are great. I mean files of a similar type and size and name are grouped together. The software assumes that they are the same copy which must have been multiplied by one user downloading it from another. Gnucleus also uses the Gnutella network which means you can download files from people with Lime Wire and Imesh etc.The server won’t crash or chuck you out and say sorry Sucker no downloading tonight. More relevant searches, If you have Cable this is PARADISE.
Download it from Download.Com. It is the software to have. I have good to great results for all my searches. Hope you will too. So Hurry up! Download it and reap the benefits. !
P.S: One nice feature is the auto update. When there is a new version Gnucleus automatically downloads a new exe and updates itself. On dialup it is slow but takes about the same time as downloading a new version of AudioGalaxy I guess. At least try it.
