Not a Responsible airline, Never Never Book/buy any ticket from them at all.
Due to promotional schemes I booked 2 tickets for me and wife for 1st April 2006 from Mumbai to Jaiopur on Feb06. Instate of going by train, why should not I go by air on the cost of 20% extra, This is the common though can appear to any ones mind and hence we can plan our travel....right?
After 1 month of booking I got a call, with a funny excuse DUE TO UNFORTUNATE REASONS- WE HAVE TO PRE POND OUR FLEIGHTS AND THAT SHOULD LEAVE BY 8:40 am INSTATE OF 11 am. I live at pune and this was hard to catch-up as pune-mumbai by bus too 4-5 hrs and I were forced to travel in night with my infant baby and wife. Any ways I prefer to bother this instate of cancel my whole trip to my home town.
And as several unlucky customer, I got another call from so called CUSTOMER CARE(who actually do not care at all about the pain customers facing due to their unplanned advance booking and reschedulings agin and again). This time I really begged from god to not to hear CANCELLATION. This time I again heard DUE TO UNFORTUNATE REASONS- WE HAVE TO CANCEL fleight on 1st April , now you should either opt for refund or choose from 31st March or 2nd April. I really thought WHAT A SHIT, either I should cancell whole trip or shouls I reschedule all my forward journies or shouls I take another day off and travel on 31st March....
I was thinking that Go Air made APRIL FOOL of me....
Totally Ridicules and unfair...
Lo-cost airline are always do not plan and take permissions from authorities and book their fleights without proper arrangements and finally keep on re-scheduling or cancelling tickets(I heard specially from go air).
Another instance happened where they have totally cancelled AMD-Ahmedabad PNQ-Pune sector. I booked another tickets for my parents who had planned back journey From Pune-(Train)-Ahamdabad-(Air)-Jaipur instate of Pune-(train)-Jaipur. But due to GOAIRs rubbish cancellation they had to travel in LOCAL compartment of train from Ahamdabad to jaipur...
Above are only the few instance out of hundreads that were happened with many of indian customers due to ir-responsible planning of GoAirs services.
I should Strongly advice all aspirants of lo cost airlines (speacially GoAir)- please be aware and have backup plans in advance in your hands against their surprise UNFORTUNATE actions.
I should Call them CULPRITS of thousands of customers.
