I had booked a ticket for Lucknow to Pune on GoAir three and a half months ago for about 4k. Three days before the travel date the flight was cancelled citingoperational issues.
When I called the call centre they gave me a fake apology and offered tofully reimburse my 4k and told me that I will need to make a fresh booking!.
The tickets for this flight were now around 10k, as I had to travel urgently - I had to pay the extra money and book the new ticket on a different airline.
In response to my feedback email GoAir responded by saying that the flight was cancelled due to unavailability of aircraft. They ended the email with the line.
"We hope you will give us another opportunity to welcome you on board our flights again."!
GoAir is committing a daylight robbery and DGCA does not seem to be bothered. If it is a operational issue with GoAir, how is GoAir being penalised for the cancellation? It is I who is paying from my pocket because I put my trust in an airline approved by DGCA? For all I know GoAir cancelled the flight because it was not making profit on it.
Please avoid using GoAir they are a bunch of cheats who just want to make profits at your cost.
