Go Air is the worst ever. I had a very bad experience today, in any other country they would have been sued immediately.
I was travelling with 3 of my friends from Delhi to Bangalore. Because of the bad weather in Delhi currently, we expected the flight to be delayed, but the Go Air Staff just made the experience miserable for us.The flight was scheduled for 8:40 Am.
At 4 in the morning, my friend, who had booked the tickets, got a message that the fight has been cancelled, and they can accommodate us 9:40 Pm flights. We called up another Go Air number, and they told us the flight is delayed by an hour, not cancelled. So two of us decided to go to the airport.
When we reached there, they told us they cannot confirm any thing till 2 hrs before the flight. So we waited inside the airport for two hrs, at 7:45 they finally told us, when asked, that the flight is cancelled. We were trying to book tickets in other flights but they were all very expensive, some going up to 12k! Nice way to loot people.
Then after a few minutes there was an announcement that the flight has been delayed by an hour, its not cancelled! I ran to the customer care, they insisted that the flight has been cancelled, and the announcement was being made cause the database has not been updated! What nonsense! By this time it was already 9.In the meanwhile the other two of my friends had started arguing with the Go Air authorities regarding their unprofessional service.
One guy from GoAir came up to them suddenly, and told them that the fight is delayed, but it is not cancelled, the checkin should be done asap.We were shocked, we just ran to the checkin counter, and made it just in time for the 9:30 flight.
One more girl who was at airport, who was taking the same flight as us had already made another booking on other airlines, and at double the price, because of this confusion. It was such a loss. We came to know that the GoAir tickets for our flight were being sold for 8k online, at the same time when were told us that the flight was cancelled. They were probably hoping to make money out of the cancelled tickets, and I am sure they must have.They are the biggest cheats.
I hope people read this review and never travel by Go Air again!
