When I decided to have a trip to jaipur, I started looking for flights to that place. I am currently placed at hyderabad and the only flight which goes directly from hyderabad to Jaipur is Air Sahara. I had the confirmed flight ticket for Air Sahara 25/01/06 flying in the evening. Just a day back , I get an intimation that the flight is cancelled, I believe owing to this JET-SAHARA merger.... now why should a passenger suffer and who the hell will give me a ticket to Jaipur now were the prime questions??
I scanned all the Air carriers and none other than GoAir was ready to give me a ticket to Jaipur that too from Mumbai on 26/01/06. Having no other option, I booked somehow the last ticket in the flight, asuuming that I shall have anyway 100 options to reach Mumbai from Hyderabad. I was right, I promptly got a flight on Jet Airways to Mumbai. Jet is the best and the most available airlines and I never think of flying the same.
I had pre-concieved notions about GoAir (Cheap Airline Category Carrier) and I think I was right. The people at the Check -In counter asked me to open my luggage, just because I was carring a Camera. Now what on hell makes them do that!!!! what are scanners there for in the first place!!.. well I oblized. The lady at the counter gave me a flat smile as if I am oblized to fly GoAir. Well I hardly knew that the story had just begun. The same treatment I saw on board crew who were even reluctant to share a smile.
Now an interesting thing happened. While I was time-passing in the loo (i wished I could have stayed there longer ), a lady fell on board while walking. The crew helped her out and made her sit at the window seat (11A) which was my seat (Great!!!). 4-5 friends of her also joined her to share the pain. When I came over to my seat, I saw a herd of people assembled near my seat. Now what is this , I thought!!. I asked the crew for explaination and he asked me to change my seat that too as if he is oblizing me. Well I thought it better not to mess with him and have a nap so that I can think of the sweet moments ahead of me in Jaipur. Now the tea time came and the lady asked me if I wanted to have a ’’Cheese Sandwich’’. I said ’’No’’ and added ’’can I have a tea?’’. She said ’’ We dont have tea?’’. Now Go Air wants its passengers to eat ’’Cheese Sandwich’’ and get fat and the passengers cant even have a cup of tea to refresh themselfes. The essense is that ’’Stay Dull!!’’.
When we landed Sanganer Airport (jaipur Airport), I believe even people staying 1-2 kms away from the airport would have known that a flight has just landed. The less said the better about the landing is good.
Well if we are ready to spend money and prefer CLASS, please avoid GoAir. I havent seen a worst airline carrier before (Have u seen their dress code... Blue, Green and what not !!!!!).
