Wow, are these guys really running an airline company? Again. Wow. Where do I even begin. Lets see. I am a not-so-frequent airline traveller, mostly 2 times a month. This is due to my family being located in another state than where I am currently located. I am a simple person, by that I mean not insanely rich. So I pick flights based on my budget. Prior to this, I had traveled in other well-known low-cost airlines. And I know what to expect.
Ok, so I decided to try Go Air for my travel from Mumbai to Bangalore. Not my best decision. 7.10 am Flight booked. I lay in bed watching a movie, as I have to get up early anyway. Cellphone vibrates. I open it and see an sms.Dear Mr blah, blah.your flight has been delayed. New time - 7.40 am. Alright. Fine. I am the kind of person that needs to hear these important changes from an actual person. So I call the Customer Care.Yes, your flight is delayed to 7:50 am. Content, I go back to my movie.
TIme: 6:15 am. Venue:Ticket counter of GO Air in Mumbai Airport. The dude behind the counter says I am sorry sir, the check-in time is over. We cannot let you in. What? I check my time again. 6:15 am. Customer Care dude said check-in time ends at 6:40 am, boarding begins at 7:15am. Now heres the real shocker.
I goYes, but the flight is at 7:40 right? I am almost 90 minutes early. What are you talking about?
No sir, the flight is scheduled at 7:10 am.
After 20 minutes of dishing out pleasantries at the staff, I decide to give up.Just book me on the next flight
SIr, your next flight is at 2:30 pm, but we can give you window seats.
Great, that solves everything right?
After 7 hours of watching my favorite TV series which I will review later, I finally approach my seat. Guess what, its dented. A small pointed protrusion from inside the middle that, if you lean back will poke your spine pointedly.
Cursing my day, I decide to just end my frustration with a disappointing nod at the air hostess standing in front of me. She knew, and she didnt care. Go Air is just this, cheap prices. That is it. As I said before, I do not expect a 5-star experience, but at least get the basics right. Flight Schedule, seat quality in that it is fit to LEAN BACK AT LEAST! The in-flight service is just your average crew members doing their jobs like robots. Would it kill you to at least smile? Yeah, thats right, they do not even smile. I guess theyre still memorizing the safety instructions while welcoming the passengers.
Just stay away for GA. There are plenty other airlines with a slightly more(Rs 200-500) cost airlines that are leagues above this piece of junk. One of them begins with aV. That one is heaven, believe me.
I landed in Bangalore and never looked back. Never Go WIth GO AIR.
