On 21st October, Goair.in was launched promising to go online at 3.30pm with loads of free tickets to give away. I did log-on at 3.30pm to book myself a Goa-Mumbai ticket but their website failed to come online for another 2-3 hours. When finally it did, I tried booking a ticket but their system kept crashing.
But I kept trying giving the benefit of the doubt to their being a newly launched company etc. I got to the stage where I did manage a free ticket with only Rs.221/- to pay towards taxes. However, as soon as I got entered my credit card details & clicked to execute, the order wouldnt go through & their system crashed yet again.
I persisted. I finally went through the booking procedure for the 10th time after which I managed a ticket for Rs.999/- plus Taxes of Rs.221/- - totally Rs.1220.00. I confirmed the total amount & went ahead to enter my credit card details & pay for the ticket which was confirmed by their system (without a mention of the price) & through an email which was sent to me immediately (again, with no mention of the total price).
3 weeks later I receive my credit card bill & see that I have been charged Rs.1720.00 (Rs.500.00 extra) instead of what their system confirmed I was paying. I called them immediately to log a complaint only to be told to send an email to feedback@goair.in. I did that. I dint hear from them so I called them back a week later to be told the same thing. And now, I received a response from them as follows :-

With reference to your email, we would like to inform you that the fare charged to you is Rs1499 + Rs221 only. These fares are dynamic and are picked up by the system depending upon the booking and cancellation done. The Fare is charged only when you confirm the same.
We look forward to serving you on board GoAir.

Goair.in hasnt in the least bit attempted to look into my issue, neither has anyone contacted me to find out details. Their internet booking system has glitches & I was cheated into paying them Rs.500/- more than I agreed to pay their system.
The moral of the story is that if you purchase a ticket online from GoAir, you might agree to pay them a certain amount but you never know what you will actually pay untill you receive your credit card bill !!! BEWARE !!!
