This place has everything one needs on a vacation, anytime of the year. Most people might know Goa as a beach destination but if you move away from the sands, there is so much interesting to explore. One such place I am in love with is the old Latin quarters, Fontainhas.
This colourful vibrant colony is situated in Panaji. To experience this place to its fullest, stay at one of the old bungalows turned in guest houses. Go out for an early evening walk & you would be amazed with the vibrance of this place. You could choose to dine at one the small restaurants within Fontainhas.
I had tried Panjim Inn, a renounced place amongst tourists, but was quite disappointed with the food. So I’ll recommend you to try some other place. Walk up the stairs before the chapel and you can see the whole of Panjim during sunset. A view you can never forget.
