If you are a travelling freak and you like sea beaches and exotic sea foods then I would strongly recommend GOA to you.
Its easy to reach there by train(Konkan Railways from Mumbai) and road.
Well the best thing in GOA for a young stud like me and my friends who have been to GOA not once, not twice but five times is that you need not worry about the conveyence. You just got to have a identity card because bikes are readily available to be hired for a meagre amout of 200 bucks per day(24 hours).Ofcourse, the petrol has to be yours.
Now, surely you do not roam around with a hungry stomach. There is a restaurant at Mapusa(a well know place in GOA) called Ruchira. Its quite famous and the food is good and ofcourse cheap as well.Do not miss the sizzler over there.
Staying is also not a headache as there are a lot of lodges which are pretty cheap and comfortable too.
Now that the problem of conveyence, stay and food at Goa is solved lets move ahead to the places to visit. One place I have already mentioned i.e Mapusa for food.
Then there are some exotic beaches. To name some :-
1.Calangute
2.Anjuna
3.Baagha
4.Vagathor
Leaving aside the beaches, if you like water sports, do visit Bogmalo where in there are some water-scoterettes to take you well into the Arabian Sea.Then there is the famous church in Old GOA wherein there is the mummifioed body of Late St Xavier. The church in itself in gorgeous. You can also visit the Old Fort near Vagathor Beach, the setting of the movie Dil Chahta Hai.The view of GOA and the Arabian Sea is simply breath-taking from the Old Fort.
Among some exclusive drinks, Feni is a must if you are a occasional liquor lover. There are some original lager beers like San Miguel and Ice Beer for beer lovers.
If you have time do visit the nearby navy base i.e INS Hansa. There, the museum is a must see.
Then adventure sport is also an attraction which includes hang-gliding.
And yes, one thing as a precaution :-
Do not take your elders or any minor to Anjuna Beach. And do not buy anything to carry back home.
Time to visit:-
Anytime between November and February but the best part is to visit in the last week of December.
And for you to understand why I went there four times just spend three days in GOA.You would automatically come to know the reason.
