On a recent trip to Goa, I decided to avail the facilities of GTDC, both by way of their boarding & lodging facilities. The stay a Miramer Residency, on the banks of river mandovi was worth the time.The hotel is more of a resort with cottages & hotel.the support staff are pleasant & cordial. The room service prompt & the reception obliging & everready to help you.The swimming pool is well maintained.
GTDC offers complimentary passes for its guests for both "North Goa" & "South Goa" trips; with a trip aboard "Santa Monica". The river cruise. The guests can also avail other tour offers at a nominal rate. The Logistics & Guides are patient, well informed & helpful too. Food, an important part of the hospitality business was lacking the quality vis a vis price factor.Most vegetarian fare seemed overpriced & also lacked the choice for the diner. The service charges/VAT add upto the total bill, thereby leaving the diner less room for TIPS. There’s enough parking space & a generator keeps the AC running in the room without hiccups.
Overall a very good place to spend 4-5 days in Goa.
