Alas! Our World can be Difficult Place to Live in

Reading God of Small Things never felt like a debut novel of Arundhati Roy. I happened to read this novel only recently, though I had heard of it earlier as well. First of all, I would want to congratulate Arundhati Roy for writing such an amazing book that captures the essence of our male-dominated, law-struck society. Booker prize winner that it was back then, the novel is written very well.

This story of Fraternal Twins, Rahel and Estha, their childhood experiences and how laws of society made their living miserable is an excellent read. It will definitely make you think for at least once as to how we are even living in this world. It succeeds to a large extent in capturing the realism of our society.
