A masterpiece from an Indian...

I normally don’t read fictions. But the God of Small Things is a book that I read. From start to end I read with rapt enthusiasm. I was very impressed with the storyline the flow of words and the down to earth (Kerala earth) feeling.

My parents come from the state of Kerala and reading through the book brings vividly the Kerala image. Living in a city such as Mumbai one is far removed from one’s root. The same goes with me. A book like God of Small Things revives a feeling of belonging to a particular root.

Reading the book I felt proud that an Indian could write such a masterpiece in realm of English Literature.

I strongly recommend all to read this book even if they are not fond of fiction. Read it to enjoy the language. You will definitely be immersed in all emotions of life.
