The Beauty of Small Things

Arundhati Roy’s ’’THE GOD OF SMALL THINGS’’ centers the life of a family in Ayemenem, a small town in Kerala. It works around two prominent characters of Estha and Rahel the brother and Sister.

This Novel is a beautiful mix of fiction and emotions. In this tragic emotional drama Arundhati Roy brings out the essence of life in India.

Though the novel might be very difficult to comprehend at many situations one can never undermine its quality. The poetry-prose writing style needs a few pages to get used to.

One reviewer said ’’ No other story has ever been told in a way that it was the only story’’ and after reading this novel I completely agre with him. the way the novel takes shape in telling a single story is way above the ordinary.

I loved the characters of Estha and Rahel and whenever I think of them it leaves a lump in my throat.

Had the literary level been more viable this would have definitely been on the bestsellers list.

Anyway ’A MUST READ’ Novel.
