Yet another movie inspired from a Hollywood movie Bruce Almighty. Salman Plays the role of a journalist who can’t get lucky what so ever.
Everything in his life goes goes wrong from loosing opportunites in job to getting the heroine. He is shown to be unlucky to the core. Leave out good luck even his bad luck seems to be really bad. For all this he blames God, Amitabh who plays the role of the Almighty summons him to heaven and bestows Salman with all the divine powers for a week’s time.
Salman claims to do a better job than the almighty. Upon returning to earth, he uses the powers for his advantage and sets things right for him on his job front and love life. Being the generous kind, he grants the wishes of all the people of the world even without listening to them.
Things go wrong much to his dismay. All the unreasonable and unnesessary wishes are fulfilled. People are in a state of shock and horror. Life becomes far from normal.
Then what is left is so Predictable, he goes back to heaven and pleads God to set things right and make things as they were. and lo! his wish is granted with a piece of gyan given by the creator.That all is well and wisely put . All the wishes that are granted and those which aren’t have a logical reason for being so. Ending .oh! so Bollywoodish! All’s well that end’s well. Salman get’s his job back and the heroine too!
Salman wins hearts by his inspired lunacy, so has his brother Sohail matched up to his comic timing.
Priyanka Chopra was wasted in the movie, her presence didn’t much of a difference.
Amitabh had a short and crisp role, for which he has done full justice.
Anupam Kher who plays Salman’s father in the movie is mediocre. Other actors like Rajpal Yadav, Dalip Tahil( Plays Salman’s Boss) Upasna singh are not worth mentioning.
On the whole, it’s a movie to be watched if you are left with no other option!
