The only reason I’m writing this review is to keep a promise I made. I will tell more about it in the review.
It all started with I taking up a new job in a new city, thereby necessitating relocation. I had to move from Pune to Hyderabad.
So started my (and my wife’s search) for a good Packer and Mover company. Getting numbers or websites was not difficult at all.
We shortlisted 3 of them and called them home for a quotation. Till this part it looked fairly easy. We just had to choose one among those. Thats when the idea of doing some feedback search on the net struck me.
And what I saw as reviews by others of the names we were considering shocked, confused and scared me sufficiently.
Thats when we decided to enquire more about other companies in the business and we had one of our friends who had used Godara before recommend it to us.
So we called Godara for a quotation. A person visited out home and we got a quotation e-mailed to us the next day. Barring the fact that their quotation was priced a bit higher, rest things appealed to me.
The quotation had everything that we had raised concerns about mentioned in black and white on paper.
For ex. we will have an exclusive vehicle(no sharing), the vehicle will be a container one, the schedule for packing, moving and unpacking at the destination.
I still needed some clarification about the payment which was immediately provided by the person incharge and in fact this clarification was included in writing in the updated quotation.
I was beginning to like the way these guys were operating so after due consultation with my wife I decided to go with them not minding the slightly extra charges.
Subsequently I had some questions regarding insurance which again was very professionally and clearly handled by the staff.
Finally the D-day arrived. The packing team reached on time. I was impressed by the speed and quality with which they executed the packing.
Now seeing them at work my confidence increased many folds that my goods will reach Hyderabad in a good condition and in time.
The packing was finished before time (I had a train to catch to Hyderabad the same evening so this was very important for me) and the goods were loaded with utmost care into the exclusive container vehicle as promised.
I was told that I will get a call the subsequent day once the truck reaches Hyderabad. I reached Hyderabad next day early morning via train.
When I didn’t hear till 10 am about the truck I called up the Godara staff in Hyderabad. I was told that the matter will be looked into and someone will call me with an update.
The same happened and I got a call with the whereabouts of the truck.
The truck reached in an hours time at my Hyderabad residence. When the door was opened, I could see that the goods were in exactly the same position as they were when the truck left my Pune house.
The unloading and unpacking was also pretty fast and at the same time executed with care. The proof of pudding is in eating it.there weren’t any damages except minor scratches to couple of furniture. Since I knew that there wasn’t any effort spared from their side I have no issues about such minor damages.
I was so impressed by the quality of work done by these guys that I promised that I will write a review on the net commending their job. Yes this is the promise I talked about in the beginning of the review.
BTW, even after the transaction was over there was more professionalism shown by their staff. I needed some receipts for reimbursement purposes. When I contacted the staff for it, again the same promptness was shown in fulfilling the request.
I have kept my promise now.
