The film Godfather was shown as serials when I was too young to understand the English with the accent, and I haven’t able to understand English that much even now when spoken with other than Indian Accent, which is now more or less neutral. Anyway from then on I wanted to know what’s so special about it? Finally I got the opportunity to read the book. The book is really worth reading, and the time spent to it will give people an understanding that even Dons have heart and they keep on their word.
I dont know what is the inspiration for the Hindi films like SATYA, SARKAR. I thought that this book may also be the reason for inspiring those kind of movies. For others who want to read this book can understand what I offer to say. There are so many reviews on this book, I wanted to read them and write the review, but then I did against that so that I remain only to my account of the story and don’t mix it up with others. Its very difficult for writing the review without revealing any part of the plot, while I hate doing it by myself. This story is the person who is good by heart! He makes families.
Families and friends make an network and Vito Corleone offers friendship very well and tries to help people. But he always likes to get reason, make people understand and takes decision with a cool head. The Godfather is called so because he does not allow anyone to go empty handed when they come with a request and render their friendship to him. Not even the marriage of his Daughter would stop Corleone of his responsibility. There are two Godfathers in the story, the real one and the one who takes over. The two men are different in the beginning and by the end we see why the person who becomes the Don at the end and the reason he becomes.
The story glorifies all kinds of greatness and skills like doctors, soldiers , singers actors and all others. The book has so many character and each character has his own history to tell. The other main character called Michael Corleone is a great son of the great Don. How his character is to be read as it cant be explained by us like the Way Mario Puzo has done. Only his bad luck is stronger so many times! The book focusses on the traitors, How they have to be identified and how they have to be taken care! The existence of the traitors can ruin great kingdoms.
All things are concentrated so delicately and written so well that the book has to be read! There are lot many things in the book, but as I dont want to reveal the plot which is so interesting that any revelation will lose the importance of the book stops me from writing about it more! thank you, now that u have read it, dont forget to comment on it!
