I had the misfortune of going in for an exchange festival offer for my old semi automatic Godrej washing machine. I was promised a new fully automatic machine in exchnge for my old one which would fetch me a discount of Rs 1500. I happily agreed and there began my tale of woes.
The advance payment was promptly collected. The machine delivereda couple of days later wasthe wrong one. After much arguement with Godrej who insisted it was what I had ordered the correct machine was to be delvered in a day or two.
I received an apologetic e mail from customer care in response to a negative feedback that I gave them. They assured me the Delhi team would look into it - I THINK THEY ARE LOOKING TOO HARD BECAUSE THEY STILL HAVENT GOT BACK TO ME.
It took them a couple of weeks of lame excuses like no one at home to receive the delivery and unavailability of a delvery vehicle and God alone knows what else to finally deliver the machine.
I was told an engineer would install it and give me a demo - **I am still waiting for him.
*I finally got it installed on my own and to my horror within a couple of days it started screeching agonisingly. I then called Godrej who sent and engineer. He told me a metallic support is put under the drum to prevent movement of parts during transit. He obligingly removed the support and went away.
*It is now over a month since this whole episode started and my machine still screeches, no response from Godrej customer care and my old machine adorns my backyard like a relic from the past
MY SINCERE ADVICE TO ALL PROSPECTIVE WASHING MACHINE BUYERS - STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM GODREJ.
