I purchased a Godrej TV 8 years back due to the brand image of it, which was the biggest mistake that I ever committed. The TV always get some or the other problem every 3 months and has to repaired by paying around 1000 to 1200 bucks.
You all might think why I would complain about a product taken 8 years back. I got it repaired 3 months back but this time my TV broke down again. As I’m habituated of getting it repaired, I called Godrej customer care no:18002095511 on Saturday and registered my complaint so that they would send their technician on Monday.
They called me on Sunday morning and told that they would send the technician on Sunday who will check the TV to confirm the problem and would collect Rs.250 as visiting charges to check the issue without repairing it and would come again on Monday to repair the TV with spare parts needed. To my amazement, they said that I need to pay Rs.250 again, as visiting charges plus charges applicable to replacing the spare parts with servicing charges. Even the customer care too said that I need to pay the charges explained by the technician. I don’t understand whether it is the policy of Godrej or some sort of side business is running between customer support and field support of Godrej.
My point is, why is my TV getting problems, every time why after complete servicing is done by their technician. Is it like that they does something mischievous why undertaking the repair work of the required problem OR else GODREJ PRODUCTS ARE NOT OF SUPERIOR QUALITY THAT SHOW OFF THEIR BRAND NAME.
What hurt me was their unapologetic attitude and their rudeness while dealing with customer when we asked certain question about this issue. When I refused to pay double visiting charges most is when the customer support sends an alert to my contact no:8977507558 that they are closing the request given as if I am not interested to get the repairs done. I believe the local technicians can do better work that these, not so impressive brand image company.
