For the first time, I had booked my flight ticket from Goibibo, though my account was debited instantly however my booking status was showing as in progress but not confirmed for 2hrs.
As I had to book ticket urgently, I then booked my ticket from make-my-trip and from their end I got ticket confirmation within 5 min.
Then I called up Goibibo customer care, to check whether my payment will be credited back by them as the ticket was still not booked and showing as in progress on their website. So after keeping me on hold for about 10 min the representative is telling that my ticket is showing as booked on their portal however due to some technical problem I dint receive the ticket confirmation message and if I want to cancel then will have to pay 850 penalty charges.
Pls think why will customer pay penalty charges if its not his mistake as the ticket was not booked in first place and the status was showing as in progress for 2hrs on their website.
Then after talking to the representative for 45 min, he said will give a waiver of 650Rs. And later he agreed with no cancellation charges.
But still I was charge with 500 rs penalty charges with no fault of mine and dint receive full repayment.
This is worst experience for charging unnecessarily to a customer with no faults! Will never recommend any one to book tickets from Goibibo.
