My confirmed Booking for 2 rooms by Goibibo was declined by a 5 star hotel’ Yog Niketan by sanskriti’ in rishikesh!
I can’t believe how a confirmed booking from such a big operator could be declined like this? Never happened before in so many bookings I’ve done before with MMT or SOTC.
When I contacted Goibibo customer care they just keep saying they are talking with the hotel but nothing happened. eventually they issued a refund and we had to search for a new hotel for 5-6 hours and ultimately had to stay in a lodge that we found at 11: PM almost midnight. The lodge charged us 10000 for a 4 bed room which looked worth less than 2000 just to make money out of our grim situation. Almost 45000 worth of Air tickets of us 6 people got wasted because of this.
Later when I contacted their facebook team about it they told me I have made booking in name of my friend hence I am a travel agent and we cancel the bookings made my travel agent.
wow! that was dumber than a donkey. Just because I booked the tour in my friend Dhanesh’s name I
became an agent! & When did they cancel it? I was declined by hotel not from Goibibo, bunch or liars.
The further mails got no reply and I will soon drag them
into consumer court with this attached confirm booking paper.
if we were a bit more unlucky that day we may had to sleep on road as there was so much rush that all hotels were full and I’m pretty sure the yog niketan guy also wanted to make some
extra moolah from this heavy rush. what poor management. why such hotels are even listed.
Avoid at all costs, not only will you have waste your money but may also be life threatening.
