Absolutely horrendous experience

I made several number of bookings using goibibo over the past year or two and had absolutely no problem whatsoever. In fact, the discounts offered were better than those offered by similar online booking agents. However, my recent experience drives me away from goibibo and I shall NEVER use its services again, even if tickets are offered to me free of cost:


I was not allowed to check-in at the airport using the confirmed e-ticket issued by goibibo, the reason cited by the airline being that my travel agent has updated the status of my ticket to be "under refund". I have no clue what that means and whats worse is that goibibo doesn’t have either. I was forced to purchase a fresh ticket at the airport at 3X of the cost that I had earlier paid to goibibo.


On later checking with goibibo’s customer support, I was assured, reassured and yet again reassured that the matter will be looked into at the very earliest, all of it by their "senior supervisors". Unfortunately, I did NOT hear from them at all and on writing several number of rather nasty e-mails, I received a call from yet another senior supervisor who promises to have the amount that I paid for the fresh ticket at the airport refunded.


It is nearly a month since I had this misadventure and to this day, I have received only false assurances from goibibo with my money not having been refunded. The mental agony suffered at the airport and while dealing with goibibo’s absolutely pedestrian customer support(including the "senior" supervisors who promise to call back but never do), their totally irrelevant replies to my e-mails(if any) drive me to NEVER again deal with goibibo.


If even a single person turns away from availing of goibibo’s services on reading my review, I shall derive some amount of satisfaction that I might have prevented another from potentially suffering a similar amount of agony that I did. NEVER-GO IBIBO!
