I was also using Goibibo for long time. Then one day my mind struck and I did the little bit digging before booking my flight, and I was surprised by what I found. Please have a look on the below screen shots.
I was booking the flight from Delhi to Hyderabad and I searched for it on Goibibo and found Air India flight AI544. The final payable amount breakdown is given below-
1- Initial Cost=+4043 Rs only
2-Convenience Fee=+200 Rs only
3- Go cash= -212 Rs only(If you have)
So the final cost of this flight to me was 4031 Rs.
Then I checked the price on Air India website and I was totally surprised and happy because the same flight was available in 3878 Rs only. So there was a difference of Rs 153 only if you have 212 minimum go cash, other wise it will be Rs 365 only, that can be a big difference for many people like me.
I have checked it for Air India this time and I think that it will be true for other airlines also.
So Goibibo team we know that you have to charge convenience fee, but please don’t claim that you have the lowest price available.
