Goibibo full of lies!

We booked a return flight on 24/Apr late night thru Goibibo on Goair flights for 6/5/13 & 10/5/13 for 2adlt+1child+1infant at Rs.23487/-. We got the inbound tkt from goair & also confirmation from goibibo, then 30 mins later we got 2 one-ring missed calls followed by 5 sms-s to contact them immediately on a mobile number.


We called them and were told that we have to pay extra 1894/- as they didn’t charge the infant. We asked them the logic & they mentioned that they didn’t charge the infant and there was a fault. we told them that we had entered the correct details it is their policy to charge for infants later. We tried finding the details in their FAQ & TnC page but it is not mentioned anywhere, neither do they warn at the time of booking of this.


Even if we accept their logic, that would mean that to show their prices lower than other websites they show wrong info, which amounts to cheating. As it is the price shown on the search page & that on the booking page is always higher!


To top this they booked the inbound flight, whereas we had booked for return fare. Now they are binding us to pay the extra charge or cancel the inbound flight on our own & bear the cancellation charges. Our logic is that it is their & their site’s goof-up, why should we bear the brunt!


We have been following up since then with them (2 calls of approx 30 mins each) but to no avail. This morning when we called they hiked up the charge to Rs. 2.6 K approx saying that Goair has hiked the fare. The total fare now from goibibo would be more than what is appearing on the Goair site itself (Rs.22957/-) for return journey! Now to think I paid convenience charge for Rs.900/- for 4 passengers to them for nothing! (Goair site was down in the night when we were booking).


About 2hrs back they mentioned that we should be getting a call between 1-2 hrs to resolve the issue from somebody higher up but still waiting.


We requested them to either give us the outbound flight ticket as what we had paid for was return tkt thru Goair or refund the total amount, as we paid what the site showed and it is totally the fault at their end that they booked one-way ticket at the Goair site instead of opting for return fare tickets.


All-in all, we find them to be BIG CHEATS! And they advertise that others are back-stabbers! (Though not clear from the ad who actually is the stabber personified :( )
