I recently booked a air ticket from Ibibo.com from Delhi to Banglore(3 tickets return flight).The airlines was Indigo.At the time of booking the website was was quoting the total fare as Rs 24500/= which was cheaper than any other website(Makemytrip, yatra etc).The amout was about Rs 1200 less than other sites.
So I booked the ticket and the amount was deducted from my bank account.
Next day I got a call from Ibibo Call center that the tickets could not be booked at the time I made the transactions and now as the prices are increased I will have to pay some extra amount (Rs 5000 to Rs 6000) and only after that I will get my tickets.When I asked the reason why the tickets were not booked they answered that at the time time of booking the fare increased.(If this was the case then they should not have made the transaction and refunded my amount at that very moment or displayed the message but I think so that this is what they do with every customer First attracting them with lowest fares and then calling them and telling that the fares were increased at the time of booking).
When I demanded my money back I was told that it will take 7-10 working days to refund the amount.I had to go urgently to Bangalore for my sisters engagement and now my Rs 24500/- were blocked.The options were paying them Rs 6000 more and getting the confirmation of the tickets or borrowing money on interest and booking a ticket from other airlines.
I faced a lot of trouble but I did not get any help from Ibibo. My money is still not refunded and I don’t have any updated from these people.If I call them my phone is transferred from one line to another and at last the only answer I get is "We will try to refund the money as soon as possible".
I would suggest that please don’t book the tickets from this site which only fools its customer, go directly to the airlines and get the tickets booked through them as at least they will not cheat you and take some responsibility.
