It was a big disaster using goibibo.com site for my hotel booking. They are the big cheater. They confirmed my hotel taken the full payment and last minute cancelled my hotel booking and gave me option to book one of the low grade hotels with the same cost. Never ever use this site to book any of your ticket.
Sequence of events,
7-Aug: Booked Hotel M.B.International, Mysore online using goibibo.com for 1 night (9-Aug)
7-Aug: Make the payment for package for room which includes breakfast
7-Aug: Got the booking confirmation ID HTLKAKXTYM
8-Aug: Customer service sent an email and called me in late evening and informed me that confirmed booking is cancelled.
5: 8-Aug: They asked me to select one of the 4 given hotels which was no where stand in front of M.B. Internation.
8-Aug: I wanted them to book a good hotel (4 or 5 * hotel) for me as complementary due to mistake done by company. Customer service team (Mahak, Jagminder Pal Singh, Paras Chauhan) simply rejected the request.
8-Aug: Till late night 11 PM, nothing was confirmed. It was a big tension for me as I did not know where to stay in next day and I was leaving for Mysore in the morning 7AM.
9-Aug: I started late from Bangalore to Mysore because nothing was confirmed. Until 11:30AM, nothing was confirmed. Got confirmation around 12 Noon for a hotel King’s Kastle.
9: 9-Aug: Reached hotel around 1:45PM. We waited for 1 hrs to get a room that too was not what was promised to us. I was told to get a room "Kings Family A/c Triple Bed " but they gave me lower grade room.
10: 9-Aug; My original hotel/room was with breakfast. In this new hotel no breakfast was given. Hotel was below average and staff was very rude in nature. They gave me room at around 3PM and wanted me to leave the room next day at 12 Noon.
So, overall I am completely dissatisfied with overall goibibo.com, staff’s responses and their actions. I know that I will never use this site for hotel booking in future and will never recommend to anyone to do the same.
