The Golden Dragon Restaurant in Vasant Vihar is a good one, specially for Chinese food. I have been to this place, but my favourite was the Golden Dragon at Hauz Khas. We used to visit this cosy place at least once a week. It was very close to Malviya Nagar, where we were living.
The moment you enter the Restaurant, you feel as if you are entering a road side popular eating house in Beijing. Both in terms of ambience and decor, it reflects good taste. Lighting is soft and music still softer. The friendly restaurant staff are very helpful and promptly take orders. Service is quick.
Our most favourite food item was the thick Chinese mixed vegetables and fish-meat soup, called Talumein The other favourite items were boneless chilli chicken, sweet and sour lamb, clear chicken soup and the like. You always get the natural flavour.
Average cost of a meal used to be Rs.50.00. Not bad at all.
I have no hesitation in recommending the Golden Dragon to those who would like to have good Chinese food in a quiet friendly atmosphere.
