Golden Punjab is located in Vashi, Sector 17 behind Navratna Restaurant.
It has always been a pleasure to dine here - both with friends as well as family !
It is amongst the two restaurants that jumps to mind when I want to dine out in Vashi.
Being one of the few restaurants where I’ve always had a table quick, it ranks right at the top of the lot that I’ve seen in any other place be it Mumbai, Bangalore or Pune.
The ambience matches with the contemporary patterns and does not seem to depict any particular era. Having said that, it is very pleasing. The seating has variety of offerings for the couples as well as larger groups who want to spend some time together. There is ample space and you do not feel cramped at all. Sweet music soothes your ears as you ease yourself for the next couple of hours.
As the name suggests, the cuisine is largely North Indian. The quality of food is excellent. Chicken dishes are really mouth watering. Servings are large enough to satiate a Maharaja. The variety of dishes available makes sure that you don’t get bored of this restaurant. You will have a new dish you want to try the next time without running out of those.
The hosts are a very friendly lot and make sure you’re always well served and do bend backward to make the experience worth a repeat visit. As for the time taken to put food on the table, it generally arrives just as you’re settling in, checking out the decor after having ordered. Time for service is reasonable.
All of this at a price thats above average, yet not unduly expensive. I give this one the thumbs up any time to all those who seek a relaxing time at dinner !
