SWARN MANDIR: THE GOLDEN TEMPLE

Golden temple is a holy place of  Sikhs. The Golden Temple is very important for Sikhs.  It is also known as  Ath Sath Tirath. The fifth Sikh guru Arjun  dev  had started the construction of the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab. Golden Temple was a dream of  third Sikh guru   Amar Das Ji, but it’s main work started  by  the fifth Sikh guru Arjun Dev Ji. There is a beautiful lake  surrounded by Golden Temple  which is called as Amritsar sarovar or Amrit sarovar.


The world largest kitchen in the world  is the Golden Temple  where free food is served about one lakhs  people daily. This food reaches in the form of communion banquet.


Baishakhi, Lohri  and so on festivals  are celebrated with great pomp and show.


The first complete guru granth  sahib has been established in the Golden Temple


The first worshiper of Golden Temple  was Baba Buddhji.


There are four entry  of Golden Temple.


Golden Temple is a place where any caste of people can go but when entering in the Golden Temple there must be some basic


rules that are to be followed:


The head should be covered while entering the Temple. Clothes and scarves are specially provided  to cover the head.


Smoking and Drinking are prohibited inside the Temple.


Golden Temple is a heaven and we are thankful to part of this country . It looks as if as paradise came to earth. You are never lost when you see the temple. It is difficult to define words to it’s beauty.


Special  security arrangement have been put around Golden Temple.


It is place where no one can deny Indian as well foreign tourists to visit  there.


No one disappoint after visit Golden temple. There are many things in life that will catch your eyes, but only a few  will catch your heart and this is a "GOLDEN TEMPLE".
