Hi friends, today I will share my opinion on holy palace golden temple amritsar.The golden temple located in holy city of Amritsar, Punjab, India is a beautifully built Sikh Gurudwara Temple and is one that has to see to believe.The sikh Gurudwara welcomes all races, creeds, castes, and religious groups. It does not matter if you are a male or a female you are all welcome inside the Temple.A few rules to keep in mind before entering the Temple: -Your head MUST be covered ex. A scarf, bandanna, cap-You MUST wash your hands-At the Gate there is a foot bath located just before you enter the Temple to use-Do not try to take pictures of the temples interior -its is for security reasonBefore you entered the Temple make sure that all of the above listed requirements are met.If you have a wheelchair and are wondering how you will get around the temple don’t worry their are plenty of volunteers( seva dars) around to help you, they can carry you to the Temple.The Temple is covered in gold and is surfacing abank of water - SAROVOR. Aroundthe Sarovar - water their is a platform built for you to walk on and enjoy thedifferent angles of the Temple. The walk around the area is called PARKARMA To do the Parkarma correctly you need to start on your left hand side and walk around that way.The actual line to enter the Temple may be fairly long - depending on the time of your visit.Their are beautiful live hymns playing from inside the Temple outside.As you do your Parkarma you will pass by various monuments or figures that show its history and along signs directing you to the LANGAR HALL the open free kitchen. Here at the Langar Hall you can eat guru ka Langar and volunteers in serving the Langar.You can also get’DEG( A Doughy mixture like Pudding) to give into service for a donation.This Deg is also called KARAH PRASHAD which can also collected from sewadars just outside the DARBAR SAHIB at free of cost.Upon descending the stairways of the Temple you will back outside to the Parkarma area where you can visit other Temples and visit the tree named Dukh Bhanjani Beri the tree that dispelled sorrow . This tree was sought to relieve illness and to perform miracles.In Golden Temple Rooms are also available for pilgrims at reasonable cost( AC as well as Non-AC) .
