Gold's Gym Indiranagar, NOT VERY GOOD

Gold’s gym, which is one of the well known international chain of gyms has a branch in Indiranagar. Unfortunately due their overzealous marketing, they have sold memberships far beyond the capacity of this gym. The result is that this gym is too crowded, especially in the evenings and this creates a hazardous environment to work out in, when you consider the number of people crowding the area using heavy weights and other equipment. This makes the whole area quite dangerous to move around in, leaving you in constant fear of getting injured accidentally by another person, and effectively ruins your workout as well.

The equipment is not maintained at the standard expected from such an international chain, and some of the gym staff are ill mannered, and not trained to handle all the members effectively. Also, some of the members snatch your place while your head is turned around for a sip of water, without inquiring if you are done or not. This so called international brand no longer resembles the elite and exclusive gym it’s supposed to be and now feels more like a low cost local gym.

The hygiene is not good, and they play very loud noise in the name of music. The staff have very low morale and there is a huge turnover of employees. Also, the gym is often closed on one pretext or another, almost like a public sector bank. Further, no one cares for any feedback or complaint.

Whatever they promise at the time of admission is not honored. I don’t know about their other branches in Bangalore but Indiranagar Gold’s gym is best avoided. The gym equipment is located on three floors which is also very inconvenient.

Having used Gold’s gym in Dubai - which is one of the best I’ve seen, I enrolled here by paying a huge amount for a three year membership. But I regret having done so, and I might drop out of this gym soon if things don’t improve.
