Its the weekend and Mrs.Lalitha Richards wakes up early, prepares her husbands favorite cheese toast and her sons favorite scrambled eggs. since its saturday , she has another plan. Off she goes to the closet, and pulls out her husbands golf bag. She cant carry that heavy thing. So she wakes her 16 year old boy. Both mother and son successfully manage to hide the golfbag. Or so she thought.
But this boy has another dubious plan. Instead of hiding this in the basement, He hides it in his dads car. The previous night his dad bribed him into doing that. Anticipating his wifes probable plan in foiling his way to the golf game. Some father and son team they are. the 16 year old lad gets paid for it ( $ 10 after bargaining his way from $ 30 )
The Golf Fans out there, I havent ventured into every detail, just gave a brief explanations , so forgive me if I have missed out anything
Golf
This is the same story with every golfer. Husbands love playing golf, and wives they hate golf because it is a threat to her, like golf is the second wife or something.
But then I have seen, wives , once getting used to it, frequenting golf clubs more than their husbands can , and getting better than their husbands.
The Golf Course
This ranges from 100 meters to 500 meters, from the start to the Hole. in order to make out the location of the hole there is a flag placed on it, removed when the gets to the green. Each golf course has 9 to 18 games plays or holes. Each game usually has a bunker filled with sand, a water pool but not for swimming, and the green , around the flags, and some tree which are called Woods. Each game has a specific boundary this is called as rough, which if the golf ball goes beyond this, there is a penalty. the universal specification for golfers are they are supposed to wear, shirts with collars. Non collared T-shirts strictly not allowed. Every game starts from the starting point named as the Tee.
The game
Based on the length from the Tee to the hole, there is an accepted standard of strokes which needs to be met. This is called a PAR. for example if the distance is 500 meters the par can safely be put to four, which means , 4 strokes is what it takes to get the ball into the hole. one ball more than the PAR , its a Bogey and one ball less gets you an Birdie . Two balls more than Par gets you a D bogey ( double bogey ) and two balls less than Par gets you an Eagle . + 1 point for each ball crossing the par and -1 point for each ball within the par. the lowest score in this wins the game.

Golf is an interesting game to play, at first I wondered what exercise are these guys getting, but if you dont have a golf cart, you would know what exercise you would get. The only way you can improve on this game is your skills. the main focus is on putt, Driving, analysing the force and direction of the wind.
And for those of you who dont know Mrs. Lalitha Richards is none other than my mom, and she has only one son. but after being a member in mouthshut I found a long lost brother, whom I lost in a golf course err.. mela
Tips
1. Before you begin playing the game, start with the driving range. Before you being learning , before each game. this would not only serve as a warm up you will have an idea as to how long can you drive the ball out on the course
2.Swing is very important. this decides the direction of the ball. If you havent improved the swing, every chance you will have a looong strokes before you get to the green.
3. Know the Golf course very well. Every Golf course has a map about the layout of the course and the distance from the tee to the hole.
4. Pull out some grass and let let go above your head, to know the force and the direction of the wind. this should decide if you should slice or chip the ball.
5. This is the best tip I can give to those husbands who have wives hating golf. Take your wife along, and teach her to play golf. make her improve on the swing. The best way to teach her , you would know it better ( winks) .M2M me if you really want to know how. When she is addicted , it would be a romantic evening playing golf.
