Movies.............It is a part of every Indian.In Bollywood we have all kinda movies right from THE MOST expensive movie like DEVDAS to C grade movies mostly for the matinee shows.In most of the movies, watever be the theme we do have comedians.They make us laugh or atleast they try to do so, but just for few moments in the whole three hour movie.We do have some classic stuff from Hrisikesh Mukherjee which will make u smile for the entire movie.Some of his masterpieces are Khoobsurat, Chupke Chupke and many more.But the movie which I like the most is GOLMAAL.
The movie has two legends Amol Palekar, who has done really well in serious roles in parallel cinema and the evergreen comedian Utpal Dutt.THe combination of these two has made the film simply a classic.The story begins with Ram Prasad Dassrath Prasad Sharma (Amol Palekar) who is a person who likes music, singing and sports.He goes for an Interview in an office owned by Bhawani Shankar (Utpal Dutt).Bhawani is a person of likes and dislikes.He thinks that a person without a moustache is good for nothing.He also feels that young age is to work not for movies, music or sports.So Ram prasad pretends that he agrees with bhawani’s views.The interview Scene is really amazing.Dialouges such as ’’ KURTA TO SAREER KE UPRATH KE LAZAA NIWARAN KE LIYE HOTA HAI ’’ is really funny.Guys I have seen the movie million times so I know all the dialogues.
Well the actual fun begins when Ram Prasad goes for a hockey match and Bhawani catches him, and then how Ram Prasad lies that he has a twin brother who went for the match.he himself plays his twin brother as laxman prasad and then he pataoes bhawani’s daughter. but bhawani is impressed with RAM and daughter with Laxman.In the end everything settles down.The situations created are really amazing.The supporting actors have done an excellent job.Dina Pathak, Deven Verma and ofcourse Kesto Mukherjee for a small but funny role were excellent.The music was mindblowing, songs were amazing too.My favourite song AANE WALA PAL JANE WALA HAI.other songs like golmaal hai sab golmal is good to listen to.
Overall its a total paisa wasul movie, currently SET MAX is showing this movie once every two months and whenever I get time I never miss it till the end.So guys if u get a chance do watch it.Its a Total Golmaal Movie.
