A movie is made for one’s entertainment and this movie has loads of it . The best part is that with all the fun there is also a story . I am not going to discuss any scenes or sequences coz it might take away a moment of your laugh .Just one thing don’t go to watch this movie for Rimi Sen , because she hardly has any role in the movie. But I can assure you all the other actors have done a really good job and the timing needed for each joke is perfect . Before even one joke’s effect has faded there is a brand new one for you :) and the pace is maintained throughout the story . The villains are also funny .The soundtrack doesn’t sound very good on the cd( except for the song "jaane kyun dil yeh kehne laga hai") but gels in well with the movie specially the black and white song . The director has done a great job.So just one advice , leave your brain at home and just ENJOY.
Now that the gist is given, let me tell you some details. This movie is about four "faltoo" guys who are totally "vellah". They create laugh riots in a college and then at a blind couples residence. The laughter is more situational than slapstick that we are being fed with nowadays. Characterization is the strength of the movie. Out of the four guys one is dumb (Tusshar Kapoor), one an opportunist (Arshad Warsi), yet another "bhola bhala" bakra (Sharman Joshi) and the boss who always wants to have an upper hand and maintains it most of the times - Ajay Devgan. Their characters are so consistent though there is no story at all.
Actors have performed really well and the best of the lot is Paresh Rawal followed by Ajay and the gang. Only bad outing can be attributed to Rimi Sen who gets a role that is far from meaty and distant from consistency. She acts poorly to make it worse. The only reason why she was in the film was to create those moments of riots. To quote, she keeps a poker face on being proposed by guys and shows no emotion at all. She is plastic. Tch tch, "bakwaas" acting.
I do not want to spoil your fun or else I would have told you a few situations. But still, for the completeness of the review he he I will give out a few funny ones. Ther is this spoof on the scene from the movie "black" where Rani and Amitabh are sitting together and Rani predicts that there was going to be snow and it actually turns out to be unexpected snowfall. Remember? Well, I can still not forget about the scene where Arshad "circuit" Warsi says "Toh hum kya black black khel rahe hain"? There is a scene where the four guys try to save a girl from being molested and the situation turns out to be loaded against them. The dialogues that follow that scene are so hilarious. I am sure you will enjoy those.
Camera is a little jerky all the while and I wonder if that was intentional. It is just not still even for a complete scene. The lighting was spectacular. IF you dont believe me you gotta watch a scene where there is a chase in the evening and the way it has been filmed (though with a little camera jerk) using the lighting effect maximizing the feel of the scene.
Music is passable except for a couple of songs. The song in the black and white is not impressive when it comes on TV but then even that songs makes impact when viewed with the movie.
I think it is a good movie and one should not miss this. It is total "time pass" and value for money flick straight from Bollywood dil se! Golmaal Golmaal, everythings Golmaal!
